6777 SPN Fault Code

Name:

Aftertreatment 1 Particulate Sensor Detection Status

Description:

Detection status of the particulate sensor 0000b = Initialization for particulate matter detection 0001b = Waiting for dew point (see SPN 6784) 0010b = Particulate matter detection 0011b = Heater is active for particulate sensor regeneration 0100b = Cooling after particulate sensor regeneration 0101b = Heater diagnostics test 0110b = Relearning particulate sensor resistance after particulate sensor regeneration 0111b = Sensor regeneration did not complete due to system parameters out of range (e.g., exhaust temperature out of range). Regeneration will restart once the values of the appropriate system parameters are conducive to regeneration. 1000b = Halt particulate matter detection. An irrecoverable fault likely occurred. Will remain in this state until a manual fault clear or a new power cycle has started. 1001b to 1110b = SAE Reserved 1111b = Not supported Power Cycle refers to the time that power has currently been applied to the ECU controlling the particulate sensor.

6777 spn fault code name is Aftertreatment 1 Particulate Sensor Detection Status. If you don't take the time to look into 6777 spn fault when it arises, it can add up quickly. One small issue like 6777 can cause a larger component to become damaged without taking the time to investigate. If you suspect your truck is suffering from one of these issues, look into replacing those small components to save money down the road.

Note: The name and description of 6777 code represents text descriptions for faults supported by another coding system and does not necessarily comply with SAE J1939. For a specific engine manufacturer's explanation for codes, please consult the engine's technical manual. See also other spn codes.
