Description:

A signal issued by the engine control system indicating the number of devices from which the engine control system has received a « fueling desired » request. Requests included in this count are either from an external device via SPN 5793 Desired Engine Fueling State equal to « 01b – Fueling desired » or from internal logic within the engine control system acting similar to an external request.Multiple engine internal requests are counted as a single device (the engine control system itself). Internal requests reflected in this parameter are limited to those with the intent of preventing temporary suspension of engine operation. Engine internal « fueling desired » requests that lead to the engine broadcasting SPN 5795 Engine Fueling Inhibit Allowed equal to « 00b – Engine currently will not stop fueling in response to SPN 5793 Desired Engine Fueling State », with reason given in SPN 5866 Engine Fueling Inhibit Prevented Reason and/or SPN 8145 Engine Fueling Inhibit Prevented Reason Ext
