Description:

Identifies the status of Engine Cylinder Head Bypass Actuator 1. Cylinder head bypass valve is used to release the air at the high pressure compressor outlet into turbocharger turbine inlet when intake pressure exceeds exhaust pressure at lower engine speeds and thereby controlling compressure surge. 0000b = Normal 0001b = Alarm (fully operational but needs service) 0010b = Alarm High Severity (functional but transient performance may be reduced) 0011b = Derate Active (torque output reduced due to environmental conditions) 0100b = Controlled Shutdown Active (driving to the default position – usually this means closed) 0101b = Uncontrolled Shutdown Active (no torque is being applied from the actuator) 0110b = Calibration in Progress (must be broadcast at least once per calibration process defined in SPN 3464) 0111b to 1101b = Reserved for future assignment 1110b = Error 1111b = Not available
