7427 SPN Fault Code

Name:

Operator Inducement Torque Derate Level 2

Description:

This is the second torque derate that will be applied to the engine operation due to operator inducement. The torque derate level indicated in this parameter will be applied when the value in Operator Inducement Time to Torque Derate Level 2 (SPN 7428) has decremented to 0.This parameter is a percentage of how much the engine’s capabilities will be reduced as indicated by the Advertised Engine Torque Curve. 0% represents no torque derate and 100% represents a full torque derate. This parameter will be set to 0% when no operator inducement is active. For systems where SPN 5246 or SPN 5826 are supported, operator inducement is active if at least one of SPN 5246 or SPN 5826 is not equal to 000b. This parameter is expected to be a greater than Operator Inducement Torque Derate Level 1 (SPN 7425) unless a second level of derate does not exist, in which case Operator Inducement Torque Derate Level 2 (SPN 7427) will be 0.
