Engine Start Request Latch Status

Description:

Indicates the arbitrator’s latch status for engine start requests. All « unlatched » states shall transition to state « 0 – Start Request not received » after 1000 ms unless a different state becomes more appropriate in the meantime. While this time may appear long, it is intended to bridge the time it may take a receiving controller to recover from a reset due to a temporary drop of voltage during the crank event.0000b = Start request not received – waiting for start request 0001b = Start request latched – waiting for consent (the arbitrator will wait for a manufacturer-defined amount of time before timing out) 0010b = Start request latched – consent confirmed, starter commanded 0011b = Start request unlatched – start completed 0100b = Start request unlatched – consent not established within allowed time 0101b = Start request unlatched – start aborted due to abort request 0110b = Start request unlatched – start could not be completed because the starter command was not successful 0111
