Description:

Engine Stop-Start Disable Command indicates the desire to disable the engine stop-start functionality during propulsion modes. For momentary switches, this parameter does not indicate the state of the switch contacts, but the operator desired state.If defueling requests (SPN 5793) are used, this command is not intended to disable all defueling requests to the engine, but only those related to engine stop-start during vehicle propulsion modes. For example, defueling due to idle shutdown features or non-propulsion hybrid modes would not be disabled due to this parameter. An example of where this command would be used is on an emergency response vehicle that may want to disable engine stop-start while responding to an emergency. 00b = Automatic engine stop-start may be allowed 01b = Automatic engine stop-start shall be disabled 10b = Reserved 11b = Don’t care/Take no action
