Description:

This parameter is a command provided to the Engine Control Module (ECM) from the Transmission Control Module (TCM) to inhibit idle governor fueling in the unlikely event that transmission has detected a failure preventing driveline disengagement. This parameter is not intended for engine stop-start functionality or other normal (non-failure mode) operation.Please note that the « Transmission Idle Governor Fueling Inhibit » only applies to the Engine’s idle governor. It does not alter the engine’s torque map. Full accelerator pedal torque and other similar torque requests are still allowed to access the full torque map when the « Transmission Idle Governor Fueling Inhibit » is active. 00b = « Transmission Idle Governor Fueling Inhibit » is not currently desired. 01b = Transmission is currently commanding the Engine to inhibit idle governor fueling. 10b = Reserved for future SAE use. 11b = Don’t care/take no action.
