Engine Starter Command

Description:

Command from the arbitrator to the engine starter controller(s). The arbitrator takes input from consenters and requesters to initiate an engine start. This signal is used by the arbitrator to command the first or second starter instance. Starter controllers shall be configured to act as either starter controller 1 or starter controller 2. This assignment is the responsibility of the system integrator. Each starter controller shall crank the engine only when this signal is active for that starter instance. The starter controller shall latch the start request signal and crank the engine until the starter controller has determined that either: a) The engine is running b) The starter command from the arbitrator indicates « 3 – Command withdrawn – abort engine start » c) The starter controller has determined that an engine start is not possible due to other considerations (i.e. electrical, thermal, mechanical, etc). The arbitrator shall send « 3 – Command withdrawn – abort engine start » t
