Command signal directly controlling the Vehicle Acceleration Rate Limit Lamp. 00b = Lamp Off 01b = Lamp On 10b = Reserved 11b = Not available NOTE: SPN 2979 is the original parameter used to provide vehicle acceleration rate limit status. This parameter is intended for vehicle systems in which there is a lamp controller/arbitrator that requires direct lamp control (typically to an instrument cluster). The effects of emission control limits, such as engine exhaust smoke control, are specifically excluded; they are not considered to be part of a function to limit vehicle acceleration.
