Idle Speed Request

Description:

Requested idle speed. Allows an operator or ECU to modify the engine idle setpoint within a range supported by the engine. Requests above or below the supported range should result in a speed at the limit of the supported range. Should be 0 when the idle control state (SPN 8439) is not active. A value of FBh indicates the desired speed is pre-programmed in the engine. This setting impacts Point 1 on the Engine Configuration.Intended for the vehicle controller to modify engine idle speed to match vehicle operating conditions and modes (cab temperature, air supply, battery state, operator selection, etc.)
