8630 SPN Fault Code

Name:

Actual Maximum Available Engine – Percent Fuel

Description:

The percent of torque limited fuel relative to the engine standard torque fuel. The torque limited fuel in the Actual Maximum Available Engine – Percent Fuel shall take into consideration all engine torque derates (e.g. fault / event derates, various temperature derates, altitude derates, etc.) that are active in the system and number of known inactive cylinders. This does not take into account the air fuel ratio control (AFC) as it is a smoke limiting device that will naturally increase above the torque limits as the boost increases with engine load.If there are no active torque derates, this parameter will be transmitted at 100%.
