Description:

Momentary switch (possibly a push button switch) that indicates the operator’s desire to enter accessory mode, enter run mode, enter crank mode, activate the propulsion system, or initiate another behavior as determined by the manufacturer. This momentary switch may encompass functionality similar to a traditional rotary key switch. Receivers of this parameter are responsible for determining the sequence of supported operating modes.Controllers that transmit Engine Start Request (SPN 7745) may read this parameter to determine when to send Start requested, operator type (01b). Controllers that transmit Operator Vehicle Mode Request (SPN 7888) may read this parameter to determine the state of SPN 7888. Controllers that transmit Engine Starter Mode (SPN 1675) may read this parameter to determine if the operator desires to start the engine.
