Description:

Indicates the Hybrid System Shutdown Request state. The signal gives network controllers the ability to disable all hybrid system functionality including propulsion, regenerative braking, and hybrid powered accessories. For electric hybrids, the hybrid system shall be placed in an electrically off state where high voltage is isolated to energy storage devices only (e.g. open contactors, discharge capacitive energy). One use of this request is as an emergency stop capability.Note: Engine operation is still allowed. This is not the physical switch that performs the hybrid system propulsion disable.
