3377 SPN Fault Code

Name:

Voltage Regulator Underfrequency Compensation enabled

Description:

State signal indicating the operating mode for underfrequency compensation. 00b = Underfrequency compensation disabled 01b = Underfrequency compensation enabled 10b = Reserved 11b = Not available Note: Underfrequency compensation is when the generator voltage is adjusted based on the generator frequency. Typically generator voltage decreases as frequency decreases. A frequency decrease occurs when load is increased on the genset. Underfrequency compensation decreases the load by reducing the voltage as frequency decreases until a point is reached where the engine can accept more load. Load is applied to the engine when the voltage increases with frequency.

3377 spn fault code name is Voltage Regulator Underfrequency Compensation enabled. If you don't take the time to look into 3377 spn fault when it arises, it can add up quickly. One small issue like 3377 can cause a larger component to become damaged without taking the time to investigate. If you suspect your truck is suffering from one of these issues, look into replacing those small components to save money down the road.

Note: The name and description of 3377 code represents text descriptions for faults supported by another coding system and does not necessarily comply with SAE J1939. For a specific engine manufacturer's explanation for codes, please consult the engine's technical manual. See also other spn codes.
