Hybrid System Propulsion Disable Switch

Description:

When the operator enables this switch, the propulsion aspect of hybrid system operation will be disabled. However, hybrid powered accessories may be on and the engine may still run. Regenerative braking is allowed unless disabled by SPN 7552 (Hybrid System Regenerative Braking Disable Switch) or SPN 7559 (Hybrid System Regenerative Braking Disable Request). Engine starting by the hybrid system is allowed. Movement of the vehicle by the hybrid system is not allowed.This feature may allow technicians to test the engine independent of hybrid system propulsion (e.g. control engine fueling using the accelerator pedal without Hybrid System assistance). Another use may be to operate a parallel hybrid system in a conventional engine/transmission mode. Note: This parameter is not related to SPN 7315 (Propulsion System Active). 00b = Off; hybrid propulsion is allowed. 01b = On; hybrid propulsion is not allowed. 10b = Error 11b = Not Available
